Trains full, passengers upset over non-availability of tickets

Raipur. Traveling isn’t easy for travelers wishing to return home for Diwali and Chhath. Most regular trains from Chhattisgarh to Mumbai and Howrah are fully booked from October 15th to 30th. For travelers who didn’t book their tickets in time, the only option left is the Puja special trains. A large number of laborers, employees, and students from Chhattisgarh live and work in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Kalyan, and Vasai-Virar. They return to their villages once or twice a year for festivals. This time, the situation is extremely disappointing.

Howrah Mail (12809) – No room from October 11th to 30th

LTT-Shalimar (18029) – No room from October 15th to 30th

Samrasata Superfast (12151) – Waiting/No room on all dates from October 15th to 30th

The situation on the Howrah route is similar.

Migrants from West Bengal will also face difficulties returning home.

Howrah-Mumbai Mail (12810) – No room from October 3rd to 15th

Gitanjali (12860) – Full from October 3rd to 13th

Shalimar-LTT (18030) – No room from October 3rd to 13th

Howrah-Ahmedabad Express – Consistently Full

The Durg-Chhapra Sarnath Express (15160) is the main route for thousands of families returning from Chhattisgarh to Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh. But throughout the month of October, this train is also facing waiting and no room.
