Tamil Nadu: The second phase of special training for polling station officials was conducted on Wednesday (April 15).
A press release issued by Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik stated: Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, those involved in election activities are being trained across the state. In this context, the second phase of training for polling station chief officers and polling officers was conducted on Wednesday.
This included explaining how to properly handle the electronic voting machine. Polling officers were also provided with the ability to register their votes by post. Approximately 3.04 lakh people have applied for postal voting.
During this training, proper arrangements were made to ensure that they registered their postal votes. Similarly, training was provided on new features integrated into the Election Commission of India app, enabling voting details to be uploaded every two hours on polling day, it said.
