Ambala. A truck driver returning from Delhi to Himachal was directly hit by a Volvo bus in Shahzadpur, Ambala, due to which the truck driver died tragically. The deceased has been identified as Jai Karan Singh, resident of village Bithal (Chamba), Himachal. Shahzadpur police station has registered a case against the bus driver and started investigation. Deceased’s son Sanjeev Kumar told that he is also a truck driver. He was going to Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) with his car. Reached Shahzadpur-Ambala Panchkula road at 11.30 am on Saturday. Here he parked his car near a dhaba on Panchkula-Ambala road.
At 8.30 pm he talked to his father Jai Karan Singh on mobile. His father told him that I have also left for Mandi Kullu after loading goods from Delhi. Will reach Shahzadpur-Ambala in some time. He stopped there to meet his father. At around 11:30 pm his father came with his car (HP66A-7192). His father parked his car near Dilpreet Dhaba. At 11.50 pm, a Volvo bus (HR38Y-6747) came at high speed and the bus driver turned his bus towards her father. His father was directly hit by the bus. His father died after being hit by a bus. The accused bus driver identified himself as Rakesh Kumar, resident of Godar village, Karnal. After receiving information about the accident, Shahzadpur police station registered a case under sections 279 and 304A and started investigation.
