Traffic was disrupted in Bonai, Odisha due to severe cold and dense fog.

Odisha: Bonei in Odisha continues to experience a severe cold wave, with dense fog disrupting normal life and reducing visibility on the roads. The Bonei region is also grappling with intense cold and persistent fog, causing difficulties for both commuters and pedestrians.

According to locals, the fog lingers for extended periods, significantly reducing visibility, especially during the morning hours.

“The fog lasts for a long time. We have to keep our vehicle headlights on most of the time while traveling,” said a local resident.

Morning walkers have also expressed concerns about safety due to the low visibility.

“The cold and fog have intensified, and it’s affecting us greatly. For the past five to seven days, visibility has been very low due to the dense fog,” said another resident. “We walk very cautiously on the roads because we can’t see oncoming vehicles clearly, and they can’t see us clearly either. Despite the risks, we continue our morning walks,” the resident added. Vehicular movement is also being hampered due to the dense fog, particularly in the mornings. Authorities have advised commuters to drive cautiously and use headlights and fog lights to avoid accidents, as the cold and foggy conditions are expected to persist in the region.
