Traffic police officers are only there to help them. You have no right to take the keys to other people’s cars. And moreover, you cannot even remove air from your car tires. They cannot talk to you or deceive you. If a traffic police officer harasses you without any reason, you can confront him.

To issue a summons, the traffic police must have a summons book or an electronic summons device. If you do not have any of these, your challan will not be issued. Traffic police officers must also wear uniforms. The uniform must have a buckle number and name. If the police officer is not wearing a uniform, you may be asked to show identification.

The traffic police chief can only impose a fine of Rs. 100. A traffic police officer, i.e., Rs. 100 can be fined. This means that you can be fined more than Rs. 100. If a traffic police officer takes your car keys, make a video of the incident. Go to your local police station, show this video to a senior police officer and file a report.

When driving, you must carry your original driver’s license and emission certificate with you. At the same time, a copy of your vehicle inspection and insurance certificate can also be helpful. If you do not have money, you can pay the fine later. In such a situation, the court decides that you have to go to court to pay. During this time, the traffic police officers can keep your driver’s license.
