Tractor-trolley fell in the river, 11 died

Shahjahanpur (IANS) | A tractor-trolley filled with villagers fell down from the bridge of Garra river in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. 11 people have died in this accident and many people are injured. District Magistrate Umesh Pratap Singh said that many people of Sunaura village of Dadraul had come in a tractor-trolley on Saturday to collect water from Garra river near Birsinghpur village on Nigohi road in Tilhar area. During this, the accident happened, 11 people died in this accident while many injured have been taken to the hospital.

According to the local people, the tractor-trolley had left for the Bhagwat Katha being held in Ajmatpur village, then after consuming water, both the trolleys were following each other and both started overtaking each other, after which both the tractor-trolleys collided. The trolley fell down after breaking the railing of the bridge. It is being told that there were about 38 people in the trolley, out of which after the death of 11 people, many others are said to be injured.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the accident in Garra river in district Shahjahanpur. Wishing peace to the departed soul, the Chief Minister has expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.

The Chief Minister has directed the officials of the district administration to take the injured to the hospital immediately and provide them with proper treatment. Along with this, have also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. On his instructions, district administration officials, SDRF and NDRF teams reached the spot and engaged in relief work.
