Top diplomats from three countries in Islamabad for peace talks

Dubai: Top diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt gathered in Islamabad on Sunday for consultations, as Pakistan steps up diplomatic efforts to bring peace to the region.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdellatty, and Turkey’s Hakan Fidan arrived in Islamabad earlier at the invitation of Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a brief statement that the four-way meeting between top diplomats from Muslim countries was called to “review the changing regional situation and discuss issues of mutual benefit.”
