Tirupur girl dies in stampede in Bengaluru

Tamil Nadu : A woman from Tirupur died after getting caught in the stampede during RCB’s victory rally in Bengaluru.

A separate felicitation ceremony was organized in Bengaluru by the state government and the Karnataka Cricket Association for RCB, which won the IPL trophy for the first time in 18 years.

The Governor, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and others attended the felicitation ceremony organized by the state government in front of Vidhan Soudha in Bengaluru and congratulated Virat Kohli and his teammates.

The rally from Vidhan Soudha to Chinnaswamy Stadium was canceled due to the increasing crowd of fans.

Meanwhile, a huge crowd gathered outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium due to the crowd of lakhs of fans, which has a capacity of only 35,000 seats.

Of these, 11 people died of suffocation after falling on each other. 33 people are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

In this situation, it has been learned that one of the dead is a woman from Tirupur.

Kamakshi Devi (27), daughter of the principal of a private school in Udumalaipet, worked in an IT company in Bengaluru.

Kamakshi, who had gone to the stadium to watch the RCB players, died in the stampede.

Her body will be handed over to her parents after the post-mortem today.
