Tiger fear grips village in Odisha’s Nuapada district

Nuapada: People in Boden Block of Odisha’s Nuapada district are terrified these days due to tiger fury. Especially, people in the Jharnamal village of Boden Block and adjacent area are frightened after a tiger was cited recently here.

As per reports, the villagers in Jharnamal village are terrified as the tiger has so far haunted a cow and a goat. The villagers have informed that a tiger entered the village from the nearby forest and killed a cow and a goat.

Gripped with fear, the villagers are not coming out of their houses while they are closing gates of the houses by evening everyday.

A special team of the forest department has reached the village and advised people to remain alert and has intensified patrolling.

Earlier, a tiger had been spotted in Ganjam district a few months ago. The tiger was seen crossing the National Highway No. 16.
