Through this report, America targeted India, the Ministry of External Affairs gave a strong response, will the tension increase?

Washington: Once again, America has said something stinging. The US International Religious Freedom Commission has accused India of persecution of minorities. It has said in its report that the condition of minorities is worrying. Anti-conversion laws are being made in the country, cases of hate speech have increased. Apart from this, the houses of minorities and their religious places are being demolished. In this way, the bulldozer action has also been targeted in the report. This commission, which comes under the US Foreign Ministry, prepares a report on about 200 countries around the world every year. In this report, the condition of minorities is studied.

This report of the US commission has come just after PM Narendra Modi took power for the third time. Recently, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan came to India. He met many leaders in this visit and then also met PM Narendra Modi. In such a situation, the stinging report of the US Commission just after this visit is noteworthy. On Monday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, while talking to the media, said, ‘We are seeing that anti-conversion laws are being made in India. Cases of hate speech have increased. Apart from this, the houses of the people of the minority community and their religious places are also being demolished.’

US diplomat Rashad Hussain, who looks after international religious freedom matters, also expressed concern about this. He said, ‘In India, local miscreants attack the religious places of the Christian community with the help of the police. They attack alleging that conversion is being done. In such cases, instead of the miscreants, the victims are arrested and cases are registered against them. Earlier in May also, the US Commission had given such a report, which was criticized and rejected by the Government of India.

The US Commission then attacked the Government of India and said that its policies are going to increase discrimination. On this, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said that this US commission is biased. It often runs a political agenda and has a prejudice against India. India completely rejects such propaganda reports.
