Bengaluru: A case of stone pelting on three Vande Bharat Express trains has come to light in a single day. The incidents occurred on Sunday when the trains were passing through the South-Western Railway zone in Bengaluru. The fortunate thing is that there is no news of anyone being injured in these attacks. However, the glass of the trains was definitely broken. Inspector General of Railway Protection Force, Ram Shankar Prasad Singh gave more information regarding this to New Indian Express. He said that no one has been arrested yet in this case.
The police officer said, ‘In an unfortunate incident, a case of stone pelting on 3 Vande Bharat trains within a single day has come to light. Our teams reached different places of the incident and started investigation. Of these, 2 incidents have occurred under Bengaluru Railway Division. The first incident of stone pelting occurred at 6.15 am when KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express (train number 20661) passed Chikkabanwara railway station. Meanwhile, the miscreants pelted stones at the window of coach C-6 towards seats number 40, 41 and 42.
The second incident occurred around 3.20 pm, when the Dharwad-KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express (train number 20662) was on its return journey. During this, stones were thrown at the window glass of coach C-5 between Haveri and Harihar railway stations in Mysuru division. Moreover, the third incident took place at 4.30 pm on Mysore-MGR Central Vande Bharat train, about 200 meters before Kuppam station of Bengaluru division. Someone pelted stones at the C-4 coach from the right side of the engine, where seats 40, 41 and 42 are located. Window glasses were broken in this attack. Cases have been registered in this regard under section 147 (encroachment on railway track) and section 153 (deliberately endangering the safety of railway passengers).
