Three smugglers including a woman who supplied ganja worth lakhs arrested

Basna. Police has arrested 4 smugglers including a minor who were preparing to smuggle a large quantity of ganja from Odisha and sell it in Chhattisgarh. Police have recovered 40 kg of illegal ganja from the accused, the value of which is said to be around Rs 20 lakh. Besides, the car used in smuggling has also been seized. According to Basna police, to throw dust in the eyes of the police, the main accused Naresh Suman had kept his wife Uma Suman, another girl Tejashwi Mane and a minor along with him during smuggling, so that the police would not suspect them. But still he was caught.

Actually, police station Basna had gone towards Palsapali barrier on patrolling, at the same time the driver of I20 vehicle car number CG/04/MN/1416 got nervous after seeing the police vehicle and tried to run away by turning the car, but the police alerted him. While showing off, he was surrounded and captured. When the police searched the trunk of the accused’s car, they found 40 kg of illegal ganja kept in two bags and two trolley bags, the estimated value of which is said to be Rs 20 lakh. In this case, police have also seized the ganja being smuggled, four touch screen mobiles of different companies and the car used in smuggling.

In this case, Basna police arrested Tejashwi Mane, father Praveen Mane (age 23 years), resident of ward number 17 Gudhiyari, Raipur, Naresh Suman father Hemraj Suman (age 27 years), resident of ward number 35 Neelkanth Colony, Anta, district Baran (Rajasthan), Uma Suman. Husband Naresh Suman (age 27 years), resident of Ward No. 35 Neelkanth Colony, Anata, District Baran (Rajasthan) and a 16 year old minor in conflict with law, resident of Sattavarki Tech Nayapura, District Kota (Rajasthan), have been arrested. The police have registered a case against all the accused under the NDPS Act, produced the accused in the court and sent them on judicial remand.
