San Francisco (IANS) | The Twitter Spaces team, which once had over 100 employees, is now just around three people. A technical glitch on the platform during Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ 2024 US presidential election this week shook the world, according to a report. For months, most of the Spaces team employees were working without institutional knowledge, the platform reported. Twitter added live audio conversations in 2021 to compete with the then-hot Clubhouse.
Musk and tech entrepreneur David Sachs acknowledged that the limited capacity of Twitter’s servers played a role in the issues the event was facing.
“This was the largest room ever organized on social media,” Sachs said in a tweet. Twitter did great after some initial scaling challenges. Thanks to the Twitter team for adapting so quickly to make history.
