Karimnagar: Three people were killed and three others died in two separate traffic accidents in Karimnagar and Warangal districts on Saturday.
In the first incident, a speeding truck collided with a car coming from the opposite direction at Thadikal crossing in Shankarapatnam mandal of Karimnagar district, killing two people and injuring one. According to the police, the deceased were Akash, 22, son of Peedampally and Jayashankar, 32-year-old Shravan of Yempedu in Tekumtala mandal of Bhupalpally district. The villagers shifted the killed man to the government hospital in Karimnagar in an ambulance and the police shifted the bodies for autopsy.
In the second incident, a 35-year-old man died after ramming his bicycle into a water tank truck coming towards Khanapuram mandal in Warangal district and two women were beaten up as a result.
Narsampet police said the deceased man, Abothu Sambaraju of Mangalorepet, was a rice mill employee in Narsampet town who was working with women, agricultural workers, who were making autostops at the time of the accident.
