Three children drowned in a pond, one’s body recovered, search for two continues

Bhopal: A tragic accident came to light in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Three children drowned in a MNREGA pond in Bhopal. In which one child died. While the search for two is on. The incident is from Lalaria village of Bairasia tehsil. It is being told that all three children are residents of Lalaria. He left his house on Monday (29 July 2024) evening. But, he did not return home till late night. After this the family started searching for them.

During this, the family members saw the children’s clothes lying near the pond. They immediately informed the police about it. The police and divers team reached the spot and started a rescue operation to find the children.

However, the body of one child was recovered from the pond late at night. The remaining two children could not be traced till 5 am on Tuesday. The children who drowned include 12-year-old Ehtesham, 13-year-old Raj Ahirwar and 12-year-old Sunil Ahirwar. Out of these, the SDRF team recovered the body of Raj Ahirwar. At present, many top officials including the Bhopal Collector are present on the spot. The search for the remaining two children is ongoing.
