The Union Budget is a boon for Andhra Pradesh: Rammohan Naidu

KAKINADA: Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu on Saturday lauded the Union Budget 2026-27 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, stating that it aims to achieve sustainable economic growth of seven percent and fulfill the aspirations of millions of youth by creating employment opportunities.

Addressing the media in Rajamahendravaram, the minister said the budget is particularly beneficial for Andhra Pradesh, with a special focus on sectors such as the Rare Earth Corridor, manufacturing, information technology, data centers, and infrastructure development. He said the budget will promote entrepreneurship, generate large-scale employment, strengthen infrastructure, reduce imports, increase exports, enhance self-reliance, and improve technological advancements across all sectors. He added that these initiatives will benefit industrialists, youth, students, entrepreneurs, and the general public.
Rammohan Naidu said that the budget has given top priority to the education and health sectors. He clarified that the manufacturing units under the Rare Earth Corridor will operate without causing environmental damage. He said that although India has abundant reserves of rare earth and critical minerals, many raw materials are currently being imported. With focused exploration and development, India can export these minerals to countries where there is demand, and Andhra Pradesh will emerge as a major hub in this sector.
The minister said the budget also emphasizes the development of railways, airports, and ports. He stressed that the allocations were not limited to election-bound states but were designed to ensure balanced development across the entire country. He said that the semiconductor sector has witnessed significant growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the current budget will continue to support semiconductor manufacturing. He added that the MSME sector will emerge as a major beneficiary, aligning with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of creating at least one entrepreneur in every household.
Rammohan Naidu also praised Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for his vision for railway development. Referring to the Kotipalli-Narsapur railway line, he said that discussions are underway to release the funds and the project will be started soon.
