The thieves who broke into the house were arrested and sent to jail.

Raigarh. The Jobi police promptly arrested three accused who entered a house in Khargaon village on the night of November 29-30 with the intention of stealing and sent them to judicial custody. Jyoti Kumari Mahant (28), a resident of Khargaon, filed a report at the police station on November 30 regarding the incident. She stated that on the night of November 29, all members of the family were asleep in their respective rooms. At around 1 a.m., she heard the sound of a dressing table drawer opening. When she woke up, she saw Nilambar Sarathi, a resident of the village, opening the drawer. Upon raising an alarm, he ran outside, and two of his accomplices fled with him on a motorcycle. Upon searching the house, her Redmi mobile phone was found missing.

Based on the mobile theft report, a case was registered at the Jobi police station under sections 331(4) and 305(a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and an investigation was initiated. Outpost in-charge ASI Laxmi Narayan Rathore immediately investigated and detained Neelambar. During interrogation, he confessed to committing the theft along with his accomplices Shyam Sundar Dansena and Bhushan Sidar. The police also apprehended the other two accused. The accused admitted to throwing the stolen mobile phone into the pond. The police seized the Hero Dream motorcycle (CG 13 BF 8703) used in the incident along with its keys and all the accused have been sent to judicial remand in the theft case.

In this swift action, carried out under the direction of Superintendent of Police Patel and the guidance of SDOP Prabhat Patel, outpost in-charge ASI Laxmi Rathore, along with Head Constable Dashrath Lal Sidar, Constable Rajesh, Ashwini and Itwari Singh, played an important role.
