Korba. An unknown thief stole about 360 liters of diesel by opening the tank of a truck parked near the police line petrol pump in the district. This incident of theft was captured in CCTV camera. The truck driver informed the Civil Line police station about the incident. The police is looking for the unknown accused.
Kishan Prajapati, a truck driver of Rajasthan Freight Movers Company, told that he got diesel in the vehicle and then parked it in the petrol pump premises and slept. He got up at around 12 in the night to go to the bathroom. On returning from there, he again slept inside the truck. Thieves came from Scorpio after 2 o’clock in the night, opened the truck’s tank and stole the entire diesel and fled. When the driver tried to start the truck on waking up in the morning, he came to know about the incident. He informed this to his boss. After this, a case was registered in Civil Line Police Station. Police has started investigation on the basis of CCTV footage. Efforts are on to identify the accused. Civil line station in-charge Nitin Upadhyay told that the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby is being scrutinized, soon the accused will be known.
