The rod passed through the young man, an atmosphere of chaos due to the speeding SUV

Patna: One person died, while four youth were badly injured when a speeding SUV (car) overturned near NN College water tank on Atal Path in the capital Patna on Sunday night. The car stopped after breaking the railing in the middle of the road, entered the median and collided with the pillar of the foot over bridge. Due to this the car was ruined. A rod of the railing went through the waist of a young man named Yuvraj. The injured are undergoing treatment in the ICU of a private hospital in Patliputra. The condition of everyone remains critical. The car riders are residents of Rajiv Nagar and Patel Nagar. They were returning back after traveling through Digha Ganga path. Patliputra Police Station Officer Raj Kishore Kumar said that the age of all is between 20 to 25 years. The name of the deceased youth was Harsh Kumar.
The SUV was going towards R Block from Digha. All the JPs traveling in it were returning after roaming on the Ganga path. The car reached the water tank near NN College at around 9.15 pm. Then the driver lost control while trying to save a person crossing the road. Later, the car broke the railing and entered the median and collided with the pillar of the foot over bridge and overturned. The accident was so severe that the car was blown to pieces. Later, passersby pulled out the youth trapped in the car. The railing rod went through the waist of a young man named Yuvraj sitting on the back seat. The five injured were taken to the hospital by auto and private car.
Doctors declared Harsh dead in the hospital. While Ashutosh Anand, Apoorva alias Shivam, Dutva Kinjal and Yuvraj are undergoing treatment. Apoorva is the brother of Harsh. The accident was so horrific that the pedestrians passing by at that time were shocked. The car broke the railing in the middle of the road, hit the pillar of the foot over bridge 10 meters away, jumped 12 feet and fell down. Eyewitness student Raheen told that the speed of the car was more than 120 per hour and the sun roof was open. Due to which the driver could not control. Aditya Jha and Vikas Kumar, students living in Maheshnagar, stood like shadows with the youth who met with the accident. Both were taken out of the accident car and the injured were taken to the hospital.
The airbags of the car had opened after the accident. Therefore, despite the car being badly damaged, the four youths suffered relatively minor injuries. The car is said to belong to Yuvraj’s businessman father. The car is registered in the name of Badal Yuvraj Construction Company Limited. Harsh, the student who died in the incident, was originally a resident of Sitamarhi. His father is a businessman and grandfather is associated with politics. He was studying in Patna.
