The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister shouldered the mortal remains of the martyred Jawan and sent it with full respect to his native village Chiraidan in Jashpur district.

On June 12, a joint force of DRG, STF and BSF left for an anti-Naxal operation in the Farasbeda-Dhurbeda area of Narayanpur district. During the operation on June 15, the Naxalites started firing indiscriminately on the security forces and in retaliation, 08 Maoists were killed. During this, two security personnel were injured and one soldier was martyred.
