Hyderabad (IANS) | The team of controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ is likely to join the Hindu Ekta Yatra being organized by the BJP in Telangana’s Karimnagar town on May 14. State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar said on Thursday that he was looking forward to hosting the team in the Hindu Ekta Yatra.
Karimnagar MP Sanjay tweeted birthday greetings to Adah Sharma, who starred in ‘The Kerala Story’.
May you have a wonderful career in cinemas and bring unorthodox scripts that touch our cultural ethos,” tweeted Sanjay. He is looking forward to hosting the film team in the Hindu Ekta Yatra.
After watching the film on May 7 in Hyderabad, Sanjay had said that he would encourage more such films to be made. During this, he had promised tax exemption if the BJP came to power in the state.
Sanjay had revealed that he had invited the film’s director and producer Sudipto Sen and Vipul Shah for the Hindu Ekta Yatra.
Sanjay alleged that there is a conspiracy to spread terror in the country and promote ‘love jihad’. He claimed that only 5 per cent of the ground reality was shown in the film.
Sanjay is expecting around one lakh people to attend the Hindu Ekta Yatra. The visit will be attended by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Telangana BJP in-charge Tarun Chugh and other leaders.
Sanjay has appealed to all those working for the protection of Hinduism to participate in the yatra. He said that the yatra will show the unity of Hindus.
The yatra is being seen as another attempt by the BJP to polarize the majority in the assembly elections due later this year.
Few months are left for the elections and the saffron party has stepped up efforts to strengthen its vote bank.
Last week, the BJP criticized the Congress for banning the Bajrang Dal. BJP workers recited ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ in front of Gandhi Bhavan, the state headquarters of the Congress party in Hyderabad.
Significantly, Congress had promised to ban Bajrang Dal in its election manifesto in Karnataka. Opposing which the BJP leaders fiercely targeted the Congress.
