Mahabubnagar: Former minister Laxma Reddy said that the incident at Jadcharla Government Hospital was horrific. He alleged that the dog eating a dead body in the morgue room in a manner never seen before is evidence of negligence on the part of medical officials and staff. He said that negligence is clearly visible at every step in the hospital.

He inspected the morgue of the Jadcharla Government Hospital, the hundred-bed hospital, and the newly constructed morgue building. On this occasion, he spoke to the media. He alleged that there were no freezers in the morgue room and that it was unfortunate that the bodies were placed on the floor instead of on stretchers. He revealed that the Congress government was not paying attention to government hospitals. He explained that the hospitals were falling into a deplorable state without providing basic facilities. He lamented that there were no facilities. There were no medicines.
