The headmaster has been suspended for negligence in the mid-day meal program.

Janjgir-Champa. Following instructions from Collector Janmejay Mahobe, strict disciplinary action has been taken against those responsible for negligence in the midday meal program at Chaurabhata Government Upper Primary School. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the school’s headmistress, Kiran Lata Sharma, has been suspended with immediate effect. The review revealed that the prescribed standards for the midday meal program were not being followed.

Consequently, the Rahul Women’s Self-Help Group, which was responsible for the midday meal program at the school, has been removed from its duties, and another eligible women’s self-help group has been assigned the responsibility. Furthermore, due to negligence at the supervisory level, the teacher in charge of the midday meal program, Jageshwar Singh, has also been removed from his responsibilities, and an order has been issued to withhold two increments of his salary.

Collector Janmejay Mahobe has made it clear that any compromise with the nutrition and health of children is unacceptable. He has directed continuous inspection and monitoring to ensure transparency, quality, and accountability in the implementation of the midday meal scheme in all schools.
