According to the Panchang, the fifth day of Chaitra Navratri is today i.e. 13th April, Saturday. Skandamata is worshiped on Panchami Tithi. Panchami Tithi has started from 4:50 pm on Friday, 12th April and will end at 3:00 pm on Saturday, 13th April. It will end at 55:05. In such a situation, the auspicious time for worshiping Goddess Skandamata on the fifth day of Navratri is from 5.28 am to 11 am. It would be best to worship in this auspicious time.
Method of worship of Skandmata-
There is a tradition of worshiping Goddess Skandmata on the fifth day of Chaitra Navratri, hence one must worship the goddess properly on this day. On the fifth day of Navratri, wake up in the morning and take bath etc. After this, install the idol of Mother Goddess at the place of worship, apply sandalwood to the Goddess and light a ghee lamp. After this, apply kumkum and offer Akshat, flowers, fruits etc.
