Nerva. An amount of Rs 36 crore has been sanctioned by the state government for double laning of Shimla-Sainj-Deha-Chaupal-Fediz bridge road beyond Sainj and its metalling and tirering, which is called the fate line of Chaupal assembly constituency. The special thing is that out of the sanctioned amount, an amount of Rs 5 crore has already been released for the work of about fourteen kilometers of road from Khidki to Chaupal. State Congress Organization General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta said that due to the positive thinking of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu towards Chaupal, this work has been approved, which will benefit every section of the people of the entire Chaupal assembly constituency in the coming time.
According to the information, DPR for this work has already been prepared by the department and the matter has been sent to the Forest Department for permission to cut green trees coming on the roadside during construction. It is noteworthy that this road holds special importance not only for Chaupal and Nerva, but also for Kupvi sub-division, Rohru, Jubbal and Kotkhai as well as for district Sirmaur and Uttarakhand. The expansion of this road will not only boost tourism in these areas, but will also make it easier for the farmers and gardeners here to reach their products to the markets. Let us tell you that the twelve thousand high Churdhar peak is the biggest tourist destination of this region, where thousands of devotees and tourists reach every year.
With the expansion of the road, it will be easier for the tourists to reach Churdhar and not only this, with the improvement in the condition of this road, many other unknown tourist places of Chaupal will also develop and make their mark in the country and abroad, which will definitely boost tourism. Apart from this, while the upper areas of Chaupal sub-division are identified as apple producing areas, tomatoes are cultivated in large quantities in Jaunsar Babar of Uttarakhand and Haripurdhar and Shilai areas of district Sirmaur adjoining Tehsil Nerva and Kupvi sub-division. If the condition of this road improves, farmers and gardeners will be able to deliver their products to the markets on time and easily. On the other hand, Rajneesh Kimta said that the Chief Minister will soon visit Nerwa and lay the foundation stone of Nerwa Bypass, so that the people of Nerwa can get relief from the problem of traffic jam. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for sanctioning funds for double laning of Sainj-Deha-Chaupal-Nerva-Fedijpul road.
