Bilaspur. The police has arrested the accused in the suicide case of the deaf and mute student. The disabled student committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the ashram after being upset by the assault by a classmate. Action has been taken against the accused after this was revealed in the investigation. The entire case is of Sirgitti police station.
According to the information received, on December 12, Kumari Pallavi, a student studying computer in Aashrayadatta Karmshala, committed suicide. The student committed suicide by jumping from the roof. People who reached the spot admitted the disabled student to SIMS Hospital. After treatment in the ICU till evening, the doctor declared the student dead. The forensic team also reached to investigate the matter.
Pallavi could not speak or hear. Akash Ravi, a resident of village Mahgai in Surajpur, had beaten Pallavi before the incident. Due to which the student was very upset. Pallavi had informed her sister about this in a video call. In this case, a sign language expert questioned the accused Akash. After which Akash accepted the charge. The police have registered a case under Section 120 of the Indian Penal Code and arrested the accused.
