Bilaspur. As part of efforts to stop illegal plotting in the city, the Municipal Corporation has sent a letter to the sub-registrar to stop the registration of a total of 142 lands in Mopka, Khamtarai, Chantidih, Lingiyadih, Bijaur, Mangala and Tifra areas.
In these areas, the lands are being cut into pieces and sold without any legal diversion and layout plan, which is affecting the beauty and planned development of the city. The Municipal Corporation has taken this step on the basis of the report received from the Revenue Department. The corporation says that stopping the registry will stop further illegal sales. In the letter sent to the sub-registrar, the Municipal Corporation has given a list of the names of the land owners, Khasra numbers and related details and has asked to immediately stop the registration process. These include 39 plottings in Mangala, 33 in Mopka, 40 in Khamtarai, 10 in Tifra, 10 in Bijaur, 6 in Chantidih and 4 in Lingiyadih. Similarly, the Municipal Corporation has also served notices to three landowners of Mopka and Ghuru area. In Ghuru, Ramnath Mishra and Uttam Mishra have cut the land of Khasra number 126/1 into pieces and sold it, that too without any permission. In Mopka, Shubham Tamrakar and Annu Masih have also sold the land by dividing it into plots in a similar way. The corporation has asked all three to respond within three days, otherwise action will be taken as per rules. It is known that the Municipal Corporation has already broken roads and boundary walls while taking action against illegal colonies. This action is being taken on the instructions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Amit Kumar.
