The officials of CG Junior Administrative Association have met the Additional Commissioner Bilaspur Division and Additional Superintendent of Police and handed over a memorandum to them.
The association has demanded an inquiry at the level of Additional District Magistrate against the guilty police officer and constables. In the memorandum given by the association, it has been said that Sarkanda police station in-charge Topsingh Navrang and his subordinate constables have behaved indecently with Naib Tehsildar and Executive Magistrate Pushpraj Mishra. Pushpraj Mishra is serving as an Executive Magistrate in Karpavand Tehsil of Bastar district.

The State Administrative Service Association Bilaspur unit has also submitted a memorandum to the Collector. The demands of the union include suspension of police station in-charge Sarkanda and his subordinates, cancellation of the FIR lodged, magisterial inquiry into the matter and investigation of the entire matter within three days.

Tilda-Nevara Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma has taken seriously the beating of the Naib Tehsildar posted in Karpavand of Bastar and his brother by the police in Sarkanda Bilaspur and the threat of implicating them in a false case. The Revenue Minister sought information from the Bilaspur Collector and Superintendent of Police regarding this incident. Minister Verma has directed the Collector and Superintendent of Police to investigate the matter impartially and take strict action against the culprits.

The union has said that the entire matter should be investigated by a senior officer of the Additional District Magistrate level. Strict administrative and legal action should be taken against the guilty police station in-charge and his associates. To prevent such incidents, better coordination and training should be arranged between the administrative services and the police department.

Time-bound action should be decided regarding the incident. Union President Neelmani Dubey and others said that such incidents not only affect the dignity of administrative services, but officers also feel insecure. If action is not taken in this matter within a week, then the union will hold protests etc.
