Jagdalpur: An encounter has taken place between the police and the Naxalites in the hills of Karregutta situated on the border of Chhattisgarh-Telangana. In the firing from both sides, the soldiers have killed a female Naxalite. Weapons along with the body have been recovered from the spot. In the Naxal operation going on for the last 14 days, the force has killed a total of 4 female Naxalites so far.
On the other hand, a day earlier on Monday, CRPF Assistant Commandant Sagar Borade came under the grip of IED blast here. The blast was so strong that he had to lose his leg. According to the information, the security forces were evacuated on the hills of Karregutta on 22 April. Thousands of soldiers of DRG, CRPF, Cobra, STF and Bastar Fighters are climbing the mountain. After this, the body of a female Naxalite was recovered from the spot. The soldiers have also recovered 303 weapons and other explosive materials from the spot. On Tuesday, Bastar IG Sundarraj P said that the operation against Naxalites is continuing. So far, the dead bodies of a total of four Naxalites have been recovered in different encounters. Many big cadres of Naxalites have also suffered losses.
