Raipur: An African-origin prisoner imprisoned in Raipur Central Jail has committed suicide. Prisoner Patrick was in jail since 2021 in a drug case. In the presence of a judicial magistrate, the Ganj police station is doing the Panchnama of the dead prisoner.
Let us tell you that in 2021, Patrick UBK Bayko, who was smuggling drugs, was arrested by the police by raiding a house in Nala Supora, Mumbai. Patrick had created a chain of drug smuggling in Raipur. He used to supply drugs in the capital with the help of his arrested friend, Mumbai transporter Raiden Bethela.
It was only after Raiden’s arrest that the police got a clue about Patrick. Then the police arrested him in a very confidential manner. When the police raided his Mumbai hideout, he was alone. The police team entered his house posing as a friend and brought him under control directly to Raipur. The police feared that due to the uproar over his arrest, he could create some problem with the help of his gang. Then SSP Yadav had told the media that Patrick formed a gang of auto and taxi drivers. He delivers drugs to customers in Mumbai through them. He is in contact with more than 30 taxi and auto drivers in Mumbai. He gives them commission for dropping drug packets. The auto drivers bring customers for him. Patrick did not meet anyone directly. Raiden met Patrick in a club in Mumbai, where Raiden went to party with his friends. From there, Raiden started buying drugs from Patrick.
