Jashpur. An old man in Tapkara of the district is troubled by the terror of land mafia. Some people want to occupy his occupied land illegally. The goons not only set fire to his garden, but also destroyed the wire fence and drip sprinkler pipe with a JCB. After this, he is being constantly threatened to vacate the land.
The victim Tripurari Dutt Sharma has lodged a complaint in the local police station, but the police did not take any action. The victim also informed the Jashpur SP about the arson and the constant threats being given by the goons, on which he directed the Farasbahar SDOP to investigate the matter and take action, but till date the victim has not got any relief.
The victim has also alleged that in 2011, the land mafia got the land of a farmer of the same village sold. The victim also had a plot adjacent to the farmer’s land which was also sold through fraud. He submitted an application to the sub-divisional officer demanding action on this but has not received justice till date. The victim said that the land mafia is constantly threatening him to vacate the land, if no action is taken then he will be forced to leave his house and migrate. He has also submitted an application in the Bagiya Camp office to inform the Chief Minister about the injustice being done to him and has pleaded for justice.
