Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Centre (IMD) have predicted that Odisha will continue to reel under severe heat wave conditions. Heat is likely to intensify in the upcoming days. However, rain to lash over the state after five days.
Western, Southern, and interior parts of the state will experience unbearable heat. The daily temperature has been increasing continuously for the past few days.
As per the latest bulletin of the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Nawarangpur & dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
On April 2, dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha and this will continue for next five days. Meanwhile, yellow warning has been issued in some parts of the state from April 2. Yellow warning has been issued for district including Kalahandi, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, and Malkangiri.
Keeping the scorching weather in view, Odisha’s School and Mass Education Department has announced that morning classes will be commenced in all the schools starting from April 2, 2024. The classes will begin at 7 am and will continue till 11.30 am.
