After a long period of sunshine, the day temperature dropped due to clouds in the sky on Sunday. People who had started wearing T-shirts or avoided using woolen clothes in the last few days were seen in woolen clothes and others made arrangements to protect themselves from the cold.
Sneha Kapoor, a resident, said most people were not wearing woolen clothes and jackets as there was intense sunlight on many afternoons. So most of them thought that the winter season was coming to an end. However, the change in weather today reminded them of the biting cold that had gripped the region a few weeks ago.
Simranjit Singh, another resident, said the cold weather reminded him of the long spell of biting cold, so people immediately wore jackets over their pullovers. “We were expecting rain, but it didn’t happen and the sky remained cloudy all day.” Due to this the weather became cold but it could not be kept in the category of shivering cold. After a long period of sunny days in winter, cloudy skies brought back some of the chill.
