Sircilla: A 47-year-old weaver committed suicide by consuming acid in the district on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Kudikyala Nagaraju. Nagaraju, a resident of Rajivnagar, used to run his family by working on a powerloom. He was facing financial crisis due to not getting work for the last six months. Telangana government urged to continue welfare measures for weavers Apart from this, Nagaraju had borrowed Rs 4 lakh from private moneylenders for his treatment and other expenses. Due to not getting work, he was under mental pressure to run the family as well as repay the loan. Nagaraju, who left home three days ago, returned on Thursday night and drank acid on Friday when his family members had gone out for work. His family includes his wife Lavanya and sons Lokesh and Vignesh. Lavanya works as a beedi maker.
