Telangana News: Counting of votes continues for Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduate by-election

Hyderabad. Hyderabad: Counting of votes for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates by-election is underway. A total of 2,800 staff have been deployed for the job. Voting for the election was held on May 27. Teenmar Mallanna, also known as Chintapandu Naveen from Congress, Rakesh Reddy from BRS and Gujjula Premender Reddy from BJP are in the fray. The by-election was necessitated after incumbent MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy was elected to the Telangana Legislative Assembly from Jangaon constituency.

The counting staff opened the ballot boxes at 8 am in the presence of the contesting candidates and their counting agents. Postal ballots were mixed with normal ballots. Bundles of about 25 ballot papers were being made. After the bundling of ballot papers is completed, the votes will be counted on 96 tables in three halls. A total of 3,36,013 votes will be counted. The bundling of ballot papers was expected to be completed by noon.
