Sangareddy: Former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao on Tuesday accused the Congress government of failing to fulfill its promises of implementing six guarantees within 100 days during the 2023 assembly elections.
Harish was the chief guest at the constituency-level worker meeting held in Sangareddy and Medak town as part of BRS’s preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA said that during the assembly elections, Congress had announced loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh for farmers, Rythu Bandhu of Rs 15,000, bonus of Rs 500 for paddy and maize farmers, unemployment stipend of Rs 4,000, Aasra pension of Rs 4,000 and Rs 500 was promised. Within 100 days of assuming power, Rs 2,500 will be given to women under the Mahalakshmi scheme. However, all these promises remain incomplete, Harish alleged.
He said that if people mistakenly vote for the Congress in the coming general elections, the grand old party may believe that there is no need to fulfill its promises. He said that it is necessary for Congress to lose this time to fulfill its promises.
During the meeting, BRS candidate from Medak P Venkatarama Reddy promised to set up a PVR Trust with Rs 100 crore, devoting it to educating children of party workers and people from poor backgrounds.
