Telangana Assembly adjourned after budget presentation

Hyderabad: The Telangana Assembly has been adjourned till Monday. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented the budget and concluded his speech before the Speaker adjourned the House. Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented the budget in the Assembly at 12 noon today. However, the budget was severely criticized by the main opposition BRS party. It lashed out at the government, calling the budget a complete fraud.

While Bhatti was delivering the budget speech, BRS members started raising slogans against the budget. They criticized that the budget did not benefit the weaker sections. They said that the government had completely failed to fulfill the promises made to the people. Eventually, the opposition members walked out of the House protesting the budget. Earlier, there was chaos in the House due to the slogans raised by BRS members.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti presented a budget worth Rs. 3,24,234 crore in the Assembly today. Revenue expenditure was stated as Rs. 2,34,406 crore, capital expenditure as Rs. 47,267 crore, and per capita income as Rs. 4,18,931 crore. The state’s growth rate was announced as 10.2 percent. Later, the details of allocations to various departments were revealed. However, many people, including the opposition BRS party, are talking nonsense about this budget.
