Teen stole 5 lakh rupees from his house, was trying to escape to Kolkata, arrested
Rajnandgaon. A minor who left home in anger without informing anyone, taking with him gold and silver jewellery and cash worth more than 5 lakhs to meet his YouTuber friend, was safely handed over to his family with the help of Railway Protection Force Rajnandgaon. According to information received from sources, on November 15, during duty, Inspector in charge of Railway Protection Force Rajnandgaon, Taruna Sahu, Sub Inspector PL Jumde, Inspector NK Sahu and Constable Manish Patel, while checking train no. 18029 Shalimar Express station at platform number 1 of Rajnandgaon station, questioned a boy who looked scared near the AC coach.
The minor said to be a resident of Maharashtra and he was travelling in train no. 5 from Tiroda station. B-0914631 ticket was made from Gondia to Shalimar and was going to Kolkata to meet his YouTuber friend without informing his family, along with gold and silver ornaments and cash.
On being questioned on the basis of suspicion, he said that he had left the house in anger as he was upset with his parents. The said minor was brought to Resub Post Rajnandgaon. He had a black colored bag with him. On opening the bag, clothes to wear and without informing any member of the family, cash of Rs 54,500 and gold ornaments worth Rs 4,33,000 and a mobile worth Rs 13,000, total worth Rs 5,500 were found in the bag.
The mobile found in a switched off condition with the minor was switched on and the boy’s family was contacted and the family was told by them that the said minor had left the house in anger, along with gold and silver ornaments and cash. They were investigating about the same. They asked to keep the boy in custody. Thereafter, his family members came to the post at around 10 pm and gave all their details when asked. After verification, the cash and jewellery kept with the minor was handed over to the family in front of witnesses present at the post. The family expressed their gratitude to Resub Rajnandgaon on getting their minor son, cash, jewellery and mobile along with the bag safe and sound.
