Chandigarh: A car fell into a canal due to dense fog. A couple of teachers who were travelling in it died. The woman teacher was on her way to election duty when the accident occurred. (Teacher Couple Die) The incident took place in Moga district of Punjab. Jas Karan Singh is an English teacher from Mansa district. Along with him, his wife Kamaljeet Kaur also works as teachers in government schools in Moga district.
Meanwhile, Jas Karan Singh was taking his wife Kamaljeet Kaur to a polling booth in Sangatpura village for election duties in his car. Their car went out of control due to dense fog in the early hours of Sunday morning. It plunged into a canal on the side of the road. The teacher couple, who were trapped in the car that overturned in the canal, died in the accident.
On the other hand, after receiving this information, the police reached the spot. The bodies of the teacher couple were taken out from the car that fell into the canal. They were taken to the government hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
