Vijayawada: TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan will release the Backward Classes manifesto at a public meeting named ‘Jaiho BC’ near Nagarjuna University on Tuesday.
The BC manifesto was discussed in a meeting led by former minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu at the TDP headquarters on Monday.
Briefing media persons after the meeting, TDP State President Kachchannaidu said that BC stands firmly with TDP at all times and the party is committed to their social, economic and political empowerment.
He said that the BC manifesto has been prepared after considering various aspects. Highlighting the problems of BC, Yanamala said, “They have not got social justice yet. BC caste census should be conducted to ensure their empowerment in all aspects, as was last done during the British rule.”
Alleging that BC suffered a lot during the YSRC rule, he condemned Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s indifference towards social, economic and political empowerment of the backward classes in the state.
