Technology: In a progressive educational event, Sberbank Chairman, Герман Греф, taught a practical lesson on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) and prompt engineering to students at the V.I. Dolgikh Technological Lyceum. The event, which was accessible both in person and online, highlighted the transformative power of generative AI, a technology that is set to reshape many fields.
Gref emphasized AI’s remarkable role in current scientific endeavors, noting that nearly 80% of new discoveries worldwide now involve AI tools. He believes that humanity is on the verge of tackling challenges that were previously thought to be impossible, all driven by rapid advances in technology driven by economic feasibility. Recent data shows that investments in AI have increased thirtyfold over the past five years, indicating a strong market interest.
To prepare for the future, Greif stressed that mastering AI will soon become as essential as understanding basic science or language. The ability to communicate clearly with AI, especially in programming, will allow individuals to instruct these systems to code in natural language, making technical skills more accessible.
This initiative is part of a larger national campaign, “Digital Lessons”, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Education, aimed at preparing the next generation for a data-driven economy. The commitment to promoting digital skills among students is essential for their future roles in the rapidly evolving job market.
