New Delhi. Tata Motors is soon going to launch its performance-oriented hatch Altroz Racer in the Indian market. After its debut at the Auto Expo last year, it was showcased in concept form at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 in New Delhi in February. Recently new information has come to light regarding this.
What is the update regarding Tata Altroz Racer?
The Altroz has received positive response from customers and it directly competes with popular models like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza. It distinguishes itself as an early model built on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform.
Design and dimensions
Tata Altroz Racer has a length of 3990 mm, width of 1755 mm, height of 1523 mm and wheelbase of 2501 mm. In the Indian market, it will compete directly with Hyundai i20 N Line. At the same time, its interior has been styled in sleek granite black theme.
The production version of the Tata Altroz Racer is very similar to the concept model unveiled at the motoring show, with a design inspired by race cars. It will be presented with orange color scheme. Also, white racing strips will be seen on its hood and roof.

It will get features like six airbags, head-up display, 360-degree camera unit, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interface, 7-inch TFT instrumentation and active electric sunroof with shark fin antenna. .
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Altroz Racer is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo three-cylinder petrol engine. This powertrain produces 120 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of peak torque between 1,750 rpm and 4,000 rpm.
