Tamil Nadu: Youth arrested for sexually assaulting college student in bus

Tamil Nadu : The youth who sexually harassed a college student travelling in a bus in Chengam in Tiruvannamalai district has been handed over to the police. The student hailing from Chengam studies in a Vellore government college. She left from Vellore on Tuesday night and reached Tiruvannamalai and then reached Chengam by a government bus bound for Tirupattur. At that time, the youth sitting on the back seat sexually harassed the student by putting his feet under the seat. The student condemned it, but he ignored it and continued to harass her until she got tired. At that time, the student contacted her brother on mobile and told him about the incident that happened in the bus. In this situation, the student’s brother, who was standing ready on the roadside, threw the youth down from the bus, beat him up and asked him to apologize to his sister. At that time a large number of people had gathered at the bus stand. After this, the nearby Chengam All Women Police Station handed over the youth to the police. During investigation, it was found that his name is Tamilarasan (28) and he is a resident of Panrutti. He also told that he used to work as an AC mechanic in Tirupattur. Police have registered a case in connection with this incident and arrested Tamilarasan.
