Tamil Nadu : Enforcement department officials have been transferred in Chennai.
Enforcement Directorate officials are being transferred zone-wise across India. Accordingly, Piyush Kumar Yadav, working as Joint Director in Chennai Division and Karthik Dasari, working as Deputy Director, have been transferred.
Both these officers working in the Income Tax Department were working in the Enforcement Department on an alternate basis. Now they have been transferred back to the Income Tax Department.
Both these IRS officers had investigated and monitored several important cases including the TASMAC scam case, the case against former minister Senthil Balaji, the red soil scam case against former minister Ponmudi and the case of giving money to voters against MP Kathir Anand.
It is also worth mentioning that Senthil Balaji was arrested from his house by officers led by co-director Piyush Kumar Yadav.
