Tamil Nadu: The water inflow into the Mettur dam has increased from 6,339 cubic feet per second to 6,896 cubic feet per second. Water is being released from the dam at the rate of 10,000 cubic feet per second for irrigation of the Cauvery delta.
The water inflow into the Mettur dam was 6,327 cubic feet on Thursday evening. It increased to 6,896 cubic feet on Friday morning due to rains in the catchment areas of the Cauvery.
Water is being released from the dam at the rate of 10,000 cubic feet for irrigation of the Cauvery delta. The water level in the dam is 114.89 feet.
The water storage of the dam is 85.55 TMC.
