Tamil Nadu: Special trains will run between Egmore-Kanyakumari and Tambaram-Thenkasi on Thursday (April 30) for the summer holidays.
A press release issued by Southern Railway stated: The special superfast train (No. 06045) leaving Chennai Egmore at 11:50 pm on Thursday (April 30) will reach Kanyakumari at 1:00 pm the next day. On the other hand, this train (No. 06046) will leave Kanyakumari at 11:25 pm on May 3 and reach Egmore at 11:30 pm the next day.
The train will run from Egmore via Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Virudhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Trichy, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, Valliyur, Nagarkot and reach Kanyakumari.
The special train (No. 06089) will depart from Tambaram at 10:30 pm on Thursday and arrive in Tenkasi at 10:00 am the next day. On the other hand, the special train (No. 06090) will depart from Sengottai at 9:30 pm on May 3 and arrive in Tambaram at 10:30 am the next day. This train will travel via Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Virudhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Trichy, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivakasi, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Sankarankovil, Kadayanallur, and Tenkasi to reach Sengottai.
Pothanur – Central: Special train (No. 06026) will depart from Erode on Thursday at 9:20 a.m. and arrive at Chennai Central at 5:00 p.m. On the other hand, this train (No. 06025) will depart from Central at 6:45 p.m. the same day and arrive at Pothanur at 5:15 a.m. the next day.
From Central, this train will travel via Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Manapparai, Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur to reach Pothanur.
This train will reach Sengottai via Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Virudhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Trichy, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivakasi, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Sankarankovil, Kadayanallur, and Tenkasi.
Pothanur – Central: Special train (No. 06026) will depart from Erode on Thursday at 9:20 am and arrive at Chennai Central at 5:00 pm. On the other hand, this train (No. 06025) will depart from Central at 6:45 pm the same day and arrive at Pothanur at 5:15 am the next day.
This train will run from Central via Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Manapparai, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur to reach Pothanur.
