Tamil Nadu: ₹18.96 lakh in cash was seized during a raid by the Railway Protection Force at Perambur, Basin Bridge, and Central railway stations in Chennai on Thursday.
When the Railway Protection Force (RPF) checked the luggage of passengers at Perambur Basin Bridge railway station, they found Suresh Kumar, a passenger from Vellore, carrying ₹18 lakh without proper documents. They seized the money. Similarly, during a search at the Central Railway Station led by Railway Protection Force Inspector Madhusudan Reddy, it was found that Arsoon Singh, a resident of Kodungaiyur, Chennai, was carrying ₹96,600. The Railway Protection Force seized the money as he did not have the required documents.
