Tamil Nadu : Kumbhabhishekam at Tiruchendur Shiva Temple

Tamil Nadu : Maha Kumbhabhishekam was conducted today (June 6) at the sub-temples of Tiruchendur Arulmighu Subramanya Swamy Temple, namely Aruldarum Anandavalli Ambal Sametha Arulmighu Sivakozhundeswarar Temple, Aruldarum Velukandaman Temple, Sri Amrutha Guna Vinayagar and Sri Sornavarna Sastha Temple.

For this, Yagyashala puja for Kumbhabhishekam at Shiva temple and Velundaman temples began from yesterday (June 4) evening itself. The second round of Yagyashala puja was conducted yesterday morning and the third round of Yagyashala puja was conducted in the evening. Today morning, the fourth day’s Yagyashala puja, Maha Poornahuthi and Deepadana were conducted and the Kalashas were sent off. This was followed by the Kumbhabhishekam ceremony for the Vimana Kalash at 5.45 am.

Later the main temple of the Lord and Goddess was anointed, decorative lamps were lit and lunch was served. Sri Shanmuka Puja was performed by the Shivacharyas of Kaingaraya Sthanar. Prasanna Puja, Pushpanchali and departure of Swami Nataraja will be held this evening.

Similarly, the second phase Yagyashala Puja was held at Veilukandhamman temple yesterday morning, the third phase Yagyashala Puja was held in the evening and the fourth phase Yagyashala Puja, Maha Poornahuthi, Deeparadhana with Yatra Danam and Kadam Pithapadu were held this morning. The Vimana Kalash Abhishekam was performed at 6.18 am. This was followed by Maha Abhishekam Deeparadhana for the Goddess and Annadanam was held at 1 pm. The puja was performed by Bharata Saiva Puja Sthikaars.

Pushpanjali and street parade in Amman Rishabha Vahana will be held at 7 pm tonight.
