Tamil Nadu: Dr. Athiya Agarwal, Director of Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, and Susan Jacob, Senior Consultant, received this award from the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).
The honor was presented at the 44th ASCRS International Film Festival in Washington, D.C. These awards were given for documentaries that explain advanced eye surgery techniques. The ASCRS festival typically screens documentaries that explain various new techniques and advanced equipment used in the field of eye surgery worldwide.
In this regard, Dr. Athiya Agarwal’s submitted documentary film, “Bowls of Irish Rip,” won the first prize at this year’s festival. Similarly, Dr. Susan Jacobin’s film, “Rebubbling in Keratoplasty,” won the second prize.
