Tamil Nadu: The price of commercial cylinders in Chennai has been reduced by ₹10.50.
It is common for cooking gas cylinder prices to increase when crude oil prices rise. Oil companies revise cooking gas cylinder prices every month based on international crude oil prices and the value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar.
Accordingly, the price of commercial cylinders decreased in December after November. Accordingly, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder in Chennai has decreased by ₹10.50 and is now selling for ₹1,739.50.
The price of a domestic cylinder in Chennai has remained the same since last April, selling for ₹868.50 per cylinder. Similarly, the price of commercial cylinders has been reduced in other metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
